Associated Grocers is partnering with WBRZ and Valluzzo Companies McDonald’s Restaurants in support of 2 The Pantry, a food drive campaign supporting St. Vincent de Paul Dining Room. Beginning September 4th, non-perishable food items will be collected at participating Associated Grocers retail member stores, in specially marked shopping carts. The campaign will culminate with a big collection day to be announced soon. WBRZ will broadcast live inviting viewers to support 2 The Pantry. Supporters will also be able to donate online by using a provided QR code on printed items at both Associated Grocers retail member stores and participating McDonald’s Restaurants.
In 1982, the Society opened the St. Vincent de Paul Dining Room, which is now the number one hot meal provider in our community. Located at 220 St. Vincent de Paul Place, the dining room serves a hot, nutritious meal every day of the year, as well as a brown bag supper.
Here’s how it will work…
Campaign Dates: Monday, September 4, 2023 – September 29, 2023
Participating Stores will have their shopping cart at the front of their store with signage on it provided by WBRZ. Customers can drop the non-perishable items into that designated shopping cart for St. Vincent de Paul. The signage on the cart will also have a QR code that will lead to St. Vincent de Paul for shoppers to donate financially directly to the nonprofit if they choose.
